LUNCH WITH CHILDREN FROM WELFARE HOMES

MDDNPP Luncheon with Underprivileged Children & Together with Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Ramli bin Ngah Talib and Yang Mulia Toh Puan Raja Dato’ Seri Utama Noora Ashikin binti Raja Abdullah

Majlis Dato’ Dato’ Negeri Pulau Pinang (MDDNPP) organised a meaningful Lunch with Underprivileged Children from Welfare Homes at the Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang, George Town on 25th April 2026. The event was graciously attended by Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Ramli bin Ngah Talib, together with Yang Mulia Toh Puan Raja Dato’ Seri Utama Noora Ashikin binti Raja Abdullah. The programme was held in conjunction with the festive season, bringing together children from welfare homes and special needs centres in an atmosphere of warmth, inclusion, and care.

A total of 11 welfare organisations were invited to participate, and the children enjoyed a well-arranged lunch accompanied by children’s entertainment. In a symbolic gesture the MDDNPP Council Members served rice to the children to commence the lunch, followed by the presentation of Duit Raya to the children. The Duit Raya was presented by Tuan Yang Terutama Tun and Yang Mulia Toh Puan on behalf of the Majlis. Some MDDNPP members also joined this joyous event.

The event reinforced MDDNPP’s commitment to community service, strengthening social responsibility efforts while creating a memorable festive experience for the children and their caregivers. The programme received encouraging media coverage, helping to further highlight the importance of sustained care and inclusivity for children from welfare institutions and special needs centres.
