It is with great humility and honour that I welcome you to the official website of Majlis Dato’ Dato’ Negeri Pulau Pinang.

This platform serves as a vital channel for us to share the mission, heritage, and ongoing initiatives of the Majlis. As a prestigious body comprising distinguished individuals who have been conferred with honorific titles, our Majlis plays a meaningful role in contributing to the betterment of society—through service, unity, and tradition.

As President, I am committed to upholding the values of dignity, respect, and community that define our association. We will continue to foster strong ties among fellow Dato’, enhance collaboration with state and national leadership, and promote meaningful charitable and social initiatives that reflect the spirit of giving back.

This website will also function as a hub for updates on our programs, engagements, and events. We encourage members and the public to stay connected with us and participate in our efforts to build a more cohesive, inclusive, and progressive community in Penang and beyond.

First of all, I would like to thank the President and the Management Council Members for entrusting me with the responsibility as Editor of the Majlis Dato’ Dato’ Negeri Pulau Pinang website.

The main objective of this website is to act as a platform in disseminating information to our Members, as well as the general public, about the activities and undertakings of the Majlis.

We look forward to receiving your feedback and articles pertaining to Penang, especially activities related to the Majlis.

Finally, I would like to thank my predecessor, Dato’ Seri Ar Jong East Full, for the effort undertaken in revamping our website, and to our President Dato’ Seri Choot Ewe Seng, Immediate Past President Dato’ Seri Hj. Abdul Rafique Karim and the website committee for the continuing guidance and advice.

Dear MDDNPP Members,

[HIGH TEA SESSION: GOLDEN YEARS, GOLDEN HEALTH]

We are pleased to invite you to our High Tea Session, "Golden Years, Golden Health: Knowledge Today for a Healthier Tomorrow."

Two speakers will join us for the afternoon. Dr. Rebecca Tay Sook Hui will speak on how your genes can help guide safer and more effective treatment. Dato' Seri Dr. M. Amir Shah, Senior Consultant in Clinical Oncology at ICON Sunsuria Healthcare, Island Hospital Penang, will speak on cancer and its treatments. Each talk comes with a Q and A session, so please bring your questions.

Date: Thursday, 12th November 2026

Time: 2:30 pm (registration and networking) to 5:00 pm

Venue: Courtyard by Marriott, Macalister Road, Penang (Level 2, Ballroom)

Attire: Smart casual

Attendance is free for MDDNPP members, and light refreshments will be served. Seats are limited to 50 members on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you to register early.
