Malam Penaung 2016 in honour of TYT Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Haji Abbas, was held at the E & O Ballroom, E & O Hotel on 6 May 2016.
The function was attended by 218 members, guests, friends and the media. State Secretary, YB Dato’ Seri Haji Farizan Bin Darus, State Executive Councillor, YB Dato’ Abdul Malik Kassim Bin Abdul Kassim, High Court Judges, YA Tuan Collin Sequerah, YA Tuan Lim Chong Fong, Council General of Japan, His Excellency Mr Itohi and Chief Police Officer of Penang, YBhg CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafaf Bin Rajab were the VIP guests who attended.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Anugerah Belia Cemerlang 2016 to Nur Syahirah Binti Mahmud Zamri of SMK Agama Al-Irshad by TYT Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang.
